Grand Valley, Pennsylvania
Born and raised in Grand Valley, Pennsylvania, my obsession with the wild turkey started when I was thirteen years old. After entering my first calling contest in 1995, I was hooked. As I continued to compete and win many contests at a high level, soon my goal was to become one of the best ever to compete. 16 Grand National titles (9 Senior open), 11 World Titles (8 open), 3 US Open titles, and countless wins all over the country later I have set myself apart from the field, past and present. My success has led to incredible opportunities over the last thirty-four years to hunt with family and friends all over the United States and Mexico. In 2016 after years of building my own diaphragm calls to hunt and compete with, I took a chance on my own custom call building company, High Class Calls. Producing High Class Calls that replicate the sound of a wild turkey is my objective. Offering a custom-built turkey call to other turkey enthusiasts that sounds authentic and unique is my goal. I want and will strive for each call to be better than the last.
Waynesboro, Virginia
I started hunting squirrel, rabbit, deer, and turkey in the mountains of the Central Shenandoah Valley at an early age. I harvested my first turkey at age 12. At 18 my interest in bird dogs grew, and I competed in field trials, guided hunts, and traveled to hunt in several states. After my father passed away, I began hunting with tree dogs, where I treed squirrels and raccoon competitively and continued pleasure hunting in many states. I also grew as an avid bow hunter, taking several Pope and Young bear with a bow. Mixed in all of this, my true love for turkey hunting became apparent as I began to travel across the country and in Canada. I am not chasing 49, but I do like to see the country. So far, I have taken turkeys in 25 states and have 13 Grand Slams, several being single season Grand Slams.
I was fortunate to land at High Class Calls, where I have the opportunity to run the best diaphragms, pot and box calls made!

Morgan Gouveia, born and raised in Vermont. Turkey hunting has always been my passion since I was a young boy. I have traveled across the country over the years in pursuit of wild turkeys. I am a competitive turkey caller in both friction and open air divisions. I have 23 year of turkey hunting experience, yet I feel like I’m always in school, always learning more while hunting for those weary gobblers. I am grateful to be among great friends and have the opportunity to be a part of the High Class Calls team!
Saratoga Springs, New York
I live in Saratoga Springs, NY with my wife Marcie and my two kids, Chase (car seat killer) and Stella. My passion for turkey hunting began at the age of 12 when my brother and I were taken on our first fall turkey hunt with my dad. My dad always hunted as a kid, but after serving In the Vietnam War and having family obligations, hunting was put on the back burner. I remember that fall morning in 1992 like it was yesterday, and that excitement has never faded. I believe that it's fate when you go out for the first time not knowing the lay of the land or even if there are turkeys in the area and manage to set right up near a flock of hens. From the first tree yelp to the fly down, and the gathering of the flock, I sat back and watched in amazement. When it was time to shoot, I shouldered that old New England single shot and fired! I missed, of course! That miss, and my father giving me the opportunity, sparked my love for the outdoors and my passion for turkey hunting. I’m very blessed to be part of such an awesome team!
Dorset, Vermont
I am from Dorset, Vermont. I am 19 years old and currently in the United States Marine Corps. I have always had a huge love for the sport of hunting and shooting since I was very young. I started hunting around the age of 7. Since then I have been able to harvest turkeys in Florida, Kansas, South Dakota, Montana, Missouri, New York, and of course Vermont. I originally got into turkey calling contests through my local 4-H. That eventually led me to meet more and more great people and start to compete at the Grand National Championships in Nashville, Tennessee. After a 3rd place finish in the Junior division in 2019, I was asked by Matt to join his team. What a pleasure it was to become a part of the High Class Calls team. After that it led me to two more top 5 finishes with a 5th and 4th place in the next few years I continued to compete. Although my competition side is current on pause, I still continue to hunt when time permits. I am very thankful to be a part of such a great team and can’t wait to continue competing in the future.

Brett Ladeau from Vermont. I was raised in a hunting family but didn't know I was a turkey hunter until 1997. I am a long time volunteer for the National Wild Turkey Federation and received a Roger Latham award for my volunteer work in 2018. I started calling competitively in 2013 and specialize in the friction division. I am a self-proclaimed pothead and love to run any pot call High Class Calls offers. I have made the friction finals 7 times at Grand Nationals and had a top 5 finish at Grand Nationals in 2018 and World's in 2017. I love to mentor new hunters whenever possible and hunt with my daughter as often as I can. I also really enjoy spending time with everyone on the High Class Calls team and appreciate all of the friendships that have developed because of the wild turkey.
Indiana, Pennsylvania
After harvesting my first turkey at age twelve, and entering my first contest at fourteen, anything to do with the wild turkey became an obsession. As I have continued to enter contests over the years, that experience has allowed me to become more fluent in the wild turkey talk and has helped improve my turkey hunting skills. My passbook includes the Panhandle of Florida up into the Adirondack Mountains. I became a member of High Class Calls in 2017. Being a part of this team has been beneficial to building my turkey calling and hunting skills as well.

At the age of five, I harvested my first turkey in Pennsylvania on a mentor hunt. From there, I have over thirty turkeys under my belt harvested in many different states. I am a member of the Squirrel Hill Hunting Club. This club takes youth hunters who have terminal illnesses on hunts of a lifetime. I have guided many youths on successful hunts through this wonderful opportunity. I am a competition turkey caller as well. My accomplishments include 5 Youth Grand National Championships, a Team Grand National Championship with Matt Van Cise, and several Pennsylvania State Championships. I enjoy anything outdoors. Hunting, fishing, gardening and raising crops included. I particularly enjoy raising, breeding, selling and tending to my pheasant business, Hickory Ridge Pheasant Farm.
Brookfield, Ohio
I live in Northeast Ohio and began spring turkey hunting in 1993. The fascination of being able to have a conversation with a wild turkey, calling it into gun range, sucked me in on that very first hunt!! Wanting to be a better hunter inspired me to be a better caller. So, in March 2000 I entered my first turkey calling contest, placing 2nd. From that point I began traveling to many states, competing against incredible callers. I managed to win & place at many in several different states, with my best finish being 6th at the Worlds. Along this journey, I've met some incredible people that have helped guide me along my journey. In 2002, I participated in my first fall turkey hunt. I got to hear turkey vocabulary on that hunt that I’d never heard before. My fascination on turkey hunting continued to grow and in 2004 I purchased my first turkey dog puppy, Tess. Following behind my first turkey dog that fall was truly incredible!! The sights, sounds and vocabulary we heard was insane!! Tess and I learned together chasing turkeys in many states. 5 turkey dogs later, many spring & fall turkey seasons going past, my infatuation with turkey hunting continues to grow.
Hartwell, Georgia
I love everything to do with the wild turkey. From hunting them with my dad in multiple states to being a competitive turkey caller. Since I was old enough to walk, I’ve been running turkey calls. Hunting them is a way of life for me, although I only started competitive calling a year ago. Some of my competitive achievements are winning multiple first place titles in 5 states and placing in the top five my first time at nationals. I’m also a competitive owl hooter, winning and placing in the top 3 in multiple state championships. I love anything outdoors and helping anyone who wants to learn about this great sport and hunting tradition. I’m also a member of the KT team, which is an awesome bunch of folks who help the handicap to enjoy this great sport. The calls I use by Matt Van Cise are great Turkey killing calls!
Greensboro, North Carolina
My passion for the outdoors started when I was 6 years old, going out deer and dove hunting with my dad and grandpa. I was later introduced to turkey hunting by my good buddy Sandy Brady. I can remember that first hunt like it was yesterday, sitting against a tree as the woods came alive and hearing that first gobble. From that point on, I was hooked. My passion for the wild Turkey has led me to start traveling to hunt different states, as well as introducing youth and adults to Turkey hunting. I currently am a student at North Carolina State University, where I study Agriculture Business Management. As a freshman, I became involved in the NWTF chapter at NC State and worked my way up to becoming president of the chapter. I am extremely grateful to be amongst the best in the industry and have the opportunity to be a part of the High Class Calls team!
Champion, OH
I grew up and currently live in NE Ohio, surrounded by family and friends who all love the outdoors. My passion for hunting began at the age of 5, in the hills of West Virginia at our family’s camp, following my grandfather’s footsteps. After a few unsuccessful seasons, my true obsession of chasing spring gobblers began when I harvested my first in 2012. It lit a fire in me that has only burned brighter since. Every season, I set goals and push my self to become the best turkey hunter and caller I can be. I am very fortunate to have had great mentors, such as Matt Van Cise and Brett Berry, over the years. When I’m not in the woods, I provide care for the people in my community as a cardiovascular intensive care nurse. I am very thankful to be a part of such an amazing team at High Class Calls!
